Queensland's most popular holiday destination is undoubtedly, the Gold Coast. The Nikon Plaza shopping center, which is at the center of Broadbeach is rivaling Cavill Avenue in Surfers as the best spot on the Gold Coast for dining out and shopping. Broadbeach also has the Gold Coast conference center and the Casino so many people like to stay here as it is not only close to the beach, but to these other facilities as well.Main Beach Main Beach and the Southport Spit provide fantastic surfing beaches on one side and the quiet waters of the Southport Broadwater on the other. In the south of the Gold Coast are Coolangatta and Burleigh Heads which both attract tourist to there fantastic beachside locations. Inland is the magnificent Gold Coast Hinterland, with its tall forests, waterfalls and spectacular scenery. Right throughout the entire Gold Coast region, you will find a range of top class golf courses and nearly all of them welcome visitors for a round. Some of them rank among the top courses in the country.Gold Coast accommodation is as famous as the holiday strip itself. From the ocean, the Gold Coast presents a panorama of tall apartment buildings that stretch as far as the eye can see. Gold Coast Attractions

The Gold Coast theme parks are a not to be missed attraction and a magnet for children on holiday on the coast. Seaworld is located on the Southport Spit and has many marine displays as well as the thrill rides and water parks that you would expect. It also has the Seaworld resort, so you can buy a holiday package that includes park entry and accommodation. Dreamworld and Movieworld are both located at Coomera close to the WetnWild waterpark and these will also each entertain your family for a day. In the evening the Great Australian Outback Spectacular is essential viewing for all holiday makers and the dinner is great.

Many tours are available to take you to the neighbouring regions like Brisbane, Sunshine Coast and further north of Queensland. Gold Coast car hire is available from the Coolangatta airport for people who wish to explore the region in their own time.
